Jan 18, 2011 I have a problem with LaTeX fonts created in Inkscape by" text text" extension. When i save a file as. eps, and then include it into my. tex document and convert it to. pdf, the fonts I can see are a little bit bold. May 29, 2012 I use Inkscape to modifycreate some vector schematics. Then I export a pdf image that I include in Include latex in inkscape manual pdf latex file (using the graphics package).
But in the generated pdf file, all the objects with alpha 1 are not visible. I know It should be on the menu bar Extensions Render LaTeX Formula. But when I use inkscape on windows, there is no" LaTeX Formula" in the above path.
It should be hidden somehow. I have used inkscape to make figures that I incorporate into. tex documents that I then process with pdflatex. And yes, I set the page size in inkscape so that the figure fits. You could also try to export to. eps from inkscape, then convert to pdf with the" epstopdf" tool.
Inkscape can export the graphics to PDFEPSPS, and the text to a LATEX le. When the L A TEX le is input in the L A TEX document, the PDFEPSPS image is included with overlaid text.

But there are similar options when saving the PDF. You can save your inkscape figures as pdfs and put them in your document with \includegraphics. If you have text in your figures you can select the PDFLaTeX option from the inkscape saveas pdf menu. I'm using inkscape to produce vector figures, save them in SVG format to export them later as" PDF Latex" much in the vein of TUG inkscapepdflatex guide. Trying to produce a simple figure, however, turns out to be extremely frustating.
You must compile the file with latex and not pdflatex. To create a PDF file, you must first compile to PostScript. The next post is a sort of opposite of this one. It explains how to use LaTeX inside an Inkscape drawing. My previous post described how to include an Inkscape drawing in a LaTeX document. This post describes how to use LaTeX in an Inkscape drawing, which is probably more useful. The LaTeX output is included not as bitmap but as a vector drawing that can then be manipulated with all the features of Inkscape.
From inkscape I can output the images as pdfs with accompanying pdftex files and put these in a figure environment. This works if the figures are in the main file. However, I have each chapter in a separate folder with all the images for that chapter.
From version 0. 48, Inkscape has a special PDFLaTeX output option. All lines and shapes are saved into a PDF file, while all texts are saved into a LaTeX file. Compiling this LaTeX
